Position :
- Educational Aide
- Lordstown Local Schools is currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Educational Aide to support a student with special needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to working in a supportive, inclusive educational environment and will assist in achieving academic and supporting medical needs in alignment with IEPs.
- Must hold a current, valid Educational Assistant’s Permit with ESEA Endorsement.
- Must complete required professional development
- Previous experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
- Must have the willingness and ability to manage special medical circumstances related to student care.
- Successful completion of a drug test, as well as BCI and FBI background checks, is required.
- Must be dependable, flexible, and able to carry out all duties as outlined in the job description.
- Provide consistent support to a designated student(s) throughout the school day in both academic and non-academic settings.
- Assist with implementing the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
- Ensure the student’s safety and well-being at all times, including medical-related assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to foster a positive learning environment.
