Therapy Billing Specialist – Full Time Position
Duties
The Accounting Specialist in this role works directly with our outpatient therapy department. Some
responsibilities include; collect and enter client demographic data into EMR system, verify accuracy of data in
preparation for billing, prepare and submit electronic claims and invoices for first and third party payers, record
payments from first and third party payers, review claim denials from insurance payers and prepare re-billing as
necessary, manage prior authorizations for therapy services, complete month-end balancing and reporting and provide
back-up for other administrative positions within the agency as needed.
Qualifications
High High school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of accounting and/or medical billing experience are
required; Associate degree or specialized training certificate in a related field is preferred. Must have excellent
telephone etiquette and be able to answer multi-line phone. Above-average computer skills are required (data entry,
spreadsheets, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.). Experience with job related computer software, Raintree, is preferred.
Must have a positive attitude, be a team player, and be willing to learn with a demonstrated ability to solve problems.
