About the Department of Social Medicine
Position Summary:
The Program Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of multiple research projects within the Department of Social Medicine, including coordinating recruitment, scheduling and organizing team meetings, initiating data sharing with clinical sites, and managing data reporting and study dissemination according to project timelines. This position involves providing partial supervision of graduate and undergraduate students contributing to departmental projects.
Position Responsibilities:
- Execute daily project management and grant administration duties for the funded project. Provide oversight of students working on the research team.
- Monitor and contribute to the coordination of communication activities, including collaboration with program staff, clinical partners, and advisory board members engaged in the research project.
- Ensure all work plans are executed as outlined in the funding proposal and ensure all deliverable deadlines are met on time.
- Develop and maintain programmatic documentation. Provide regular reports and other documentation to project sponsors (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, and as required). Perform quality control for all deliverables.
- Work with Principal Investigators (PIs) to meet all project objectives. Facilitate collaborations with any appropriate entities related to the project as necessary to achieve program goals.
- Lead recruitment efforts for all three aims of the study. Facilitate and coordinate personal, group, and online communication between project partners and the sponsor.
- Develop strategies for dissemination of study findings to a broad range of interest groups.
- Additional duties related to the project or department may be assigned as needed.

Physical Requirements
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 or more years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Pay Rate
The approved hiring range for this position is $51,281 to $67,947 . Offers outside of this range require additional approvals. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience in relation to the minimum qualifications for the position. Pay is accompanied by Ohio University’s generous benefits package, which includes:
