Automation/Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Replace electrical components, switches, fixtures, wires, fuses, motors, and circuit breakers.
• Make recommendations for suitable substitutes for electrical parts.
• Work on transformers, controllers, switching relays, timers, heating devices, and more.
• Rewire machinery to update specifications and assemble electrical panels.
• Locate, diagnose, and repair machinery with electrical problems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering sketches.
• Perform standard computations relating to load requirements of electrical consumers.
• Keep accurate records for ordering replacement parts and maintain a spare parts list.
• Regularly inspect and adjust manufacturing equipment based on operator feedback.
• Oil, grease, align, and clean machinery and mechanical parts.
• Fit bearings, align gears, connect belts and chains, replace seals and gaskets, and torque fasteners.

Essential Skills

• Experience as an industrial maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment or relevant schooling.
• Ability to read and understand drawings.
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting pneumatics and hydraulics on manufacturing equipment.
• Experience maintaining robots, motors, gearboxes, and electrical components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical troubleshooting experience (480V, 3-phase).
• Experience in an automotive manufacturing facility.
• Experience maintaining highly automated production equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
