Reliability Maintenance Technician, Heavy Manufacturing Systems

If tackling a stubborn hydraulic fault or bringing a servo drive back to life sounds like a good day’s work, you’ll fit right in. In this role, you’ll keep our Columbus plant running safely by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving a diverse set of production assets.

In this role, you will

• Keep facilities and equipment in safe, dependable condition.
• Work across equipment such as mechanical and hydraulic forging presses (up to 2500T), combustion furnaces, CNC saws, shot blast machines, and auxiliary systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance per schedule and standard procedures.
• Log preventive maintenance, repairs, parts usage, and project activity clearly and on time.
• Document and communicate daily breakdowns and planned repairs to the team.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical servo and drive systems.
• Enter accurate data into the maintenance system without delay.
• Handle other assigned tasks that support safe, efficient operations.

You’re a match if you have

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience repairing and troubleshooting machinery.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems.
• Basic mechanical, welding, and cutting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints/schematics.
• Problem-solving strengths plus basic computer skills.
• Proficiency with meters and precise measurement.
• Understanding of LOTO with consistent safe-work practices.

Work environment

• Location: On site at our Columbus facility.
• Physical demand: May need to lift moderately heavy automotive components up to 15 pounds.
• Schedules available: Third Shift S–Th 11:00 PM – 7:15 AM; Weekend Shift B F–S 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Some overtime or weekends may be necessary.
