Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for end-to-end invoice processing, coordinating internal approvals, ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments, and maintaining organized, audit-ready AP documentation. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve discrepancies, support payment runs, and keep AP schedules current. The position also maintains tracking spreadsheets, including updating payment activity based on bank payment/transaction data.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals.

• Ensure accurate and timely vendor payments.

• Maintain organized and audit-ready accounts payable documentation.

• Resolve discrepancies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

• Support payment runs and keep accounts payable schedules current.

• Update and maintain tracking spreadsheets with payment activity based on bank data.

Essential Skills

• Accounts payable experience

• Invoice processing

• Proficiency in accounting and invoicing

• Experience with purchase orders and payable processes

• Experience working in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP

• 2+ years of accounts payable or equivalent accounting support experience

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage high-volume invoice processing (100 weekly)

• Experience with SAP and QAD

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with SAP implementation from QAD is beneficial

Work Environment

The position is based in Wooster, working closely with the finance team in an office setting. The team has experienced significant growth over the past year and anticipates expanding with over 50 new roles this year. This is a Contract position based out of Wooster, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
