Structural Engineer-Diver

About the Role:

KPFFs Special Projects Group is seeking qualified Structural Engineers/Certified Divers that are ready to take their career to the next level.  The successful candidate(s) will have the opportunity to be directly involved in a wide variety of challenging projects including port developments marine engineering ferry terminals shipyards fish & wildlife facilities naval facilities small boat marinas municipal structures floating structures and design-build infrastructure.  We are looking for self-motivated people who are eager to develop design with project management skills and who are passionate about providing exceptional client service.

Qualifications :

Who Were Looking For:

• BS in Civil Engineering (with a structural emphasis)
• MS in Civil Engineering preferred (with a structural emphasis)
• Minimum 2 years experience with underwater and topside inspection of marine infrastructure
• Technical Report writing experience preferred.
• Candidates should be comfortable operating small watercraft
• EIT is required PE or SE preferred.
• Current ADCI certification card
• Ability to operate on SCUBA and Surface Supplied Air
• Travel required
• Current First Aid CPR AED Oxygen Administration Certifications
• Current/Ability to pass ADCI Compliant Dive Physical
• Concrete steel and timber design experience
• Pre-stressed concrete and seismic design experience preferred
• Familiarity with performance-based seismic design non-linear push-over analysis and soil-structure interaction analysis preferred
• Knowledge of ASCE 61-14 AASHTO IBC ASCE-7 AISC ACI and NDS
• Proficiency in SAP2000 L-Pile MS Excel and VBA is preferred
• Ability to work dynamically with clients and project team members
• An interest in working on a wide variety of non-building related project types

Compensation:

The total compensation for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidates experience education and skills. The expected total compensation range for a qualified candidate is $90000 - $160000 including performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center. During the interview process well provide detailed information and address any questions you may have about the overall compensation package and benefits.
