CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Position location: 17960 Englewood Dr. Cleveland, OH-

CNC Machinists will perform tasks associated with the machining of molded Thermoplastic and Thermoset materials used in the Aerospace and Industrial industries. This position is responsible for operation of CNC machining centers, performing simple and complex set-ups, writing detailed programs on CNC machines. -

SECONDARY FUNCTION:-

Identify and resolve process problems. Identify and implement cost reduction ideas.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

-6+ months' experience working in a manufacturing environment

-Prior experience working on CNC machines is preferred

-Technical aptitude / trainability

-Ability to perform visual inspections and identify non-conforming part and escalate to proper personnel

-Knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, etc.-

-Demonstrate basic blue print reading

-Ability to follow work instructions, understand/run a control plan, take measurements and run a machine

-Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor or Cell Lead

Safety:-

-Use safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures and health, safety and environmental regulations, as required.

-Conduct safety observations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities as required by our plant EHS.-

-Follow all safety requirements pertaining to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and operation of equipment.

-Handle raw material in an environmentally responsible manner.

-Report all incidents and unsafe conditions to supervisor or EHS.

High School diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred

-Computer and Math skills

-Ability to stand for long periods of time

-Ability to work in above ambient temperatures

-Maintain high attendance standards

-Ability to strictly adhere to written and verbal instructions

-Complete all paperwork correctly, legibly and honestly

-Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles

-Contribute towards continuous improvement processes and projects in the areas of output, quality, cost and delivery

-Ability escalate problems as they arise within the department

-Make quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines, with minimal scrap, in a fast paced work environment
