ICU RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel ICU Registered Nurse
• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio healthcare jobs)
• Unit: J11 ICU/MICU Oncology
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940-$1990
• Assignment Length: 16 weeks (option to extend through 1/17/2026)
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Charting System: EPIC

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience (travel nursing experience required)
• Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio RN license required at submission)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (current and valid)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
• Ability to provide two professional nursing references (one from nurse manager, director, or clinical leadership)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions considered)
• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting/background check upon contract signing
• No first-time travel nurses accepted

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult and geriatric patients with oncologic emergencies, respiratory failure, sepsis, and multi-organ dysfunction
• Manage advanced ICU therapies: mechanical ventilation, CRRT, arterial and central line monitoring, and complex medication administration
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and participate in clinical trials as needed
• Assist with and perform procedures such as bronchoscopy, endoscopy, and plasmapheresis
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services)
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation using EPIC
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
