Oar Staffing is conducting a search for a Controller for a dynamic and growing manufacturing company in the Twinsburg area committed to quality, innovation, and operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Controller with a CPA designation to lead our accounting and financial operations. This is a key leadership role that will partner closely with senior management to support strategic initiatives and ensure the financial integrity of the organization.

Position Summary:
The Controller will oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, internal controls, and audit compliance. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing finance, has a hands-on management style, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process; ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP

• Manage and mentor the accounting team, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions

• Develop and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets

• Oversee all cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis

• Partner with operations to provide financial insights and performance metrics that drive process improvement and cost efficiencies

• Prepare and manage the annual budget and periodic forecasting

• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

• Support ERP system improvements and financial systems upgrades

• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reports for executive leadership

Qualifications:

• CPA certification required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA a plus)

• Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is required

• Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory management

• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities

• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
