Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Electro‑Hydraulic Systems

Integrated Talent Strategies
Bowling Green, OH

Role Overview

Keep a fast-moving production environment running smoothly by installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, building systems, and electrical and piping networks. Your day will blend proactive care with rapid-response troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

A day in the life

You start with a walk-through, listening for changes in machine sounds and watching for irregular motions. A line pauses—you quickly isolate the issue, open up the equipment to access a failed component, adjust control instruments, swap parts, and verify performance. Later, you program a drive, fine-tune a sensor, and complete scheduled lubrication and wear-part replacements. By afternoon, you’re rebuilding an AOD pump, fabricating a small bracket, and documenting updates.

What you’ll take on

  • Conduct visual checks and observe equipment behavior to understand normal vs. abnormal operation, sounds, and movements.
  • Dismantle machines to access and remove defective or broken components; adjust functional parts and control devices.
  • Repair or replace worn or failed parts; install specialized functional and structural components.
  • Perform routine care: inspect, lubricate, clean, and change wear items as needed.
  • Confidently use hand and power tools to service and repair plant equipment.
  • Install, troubleshoot, program, and repair automated systems including VFDs and programmable controllers.
  • Assemble, install, maintain, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including gauges, valves, pressure regulators, cylinders, and related devices.
  • Diagnose, repair, and rebuild AOD pumps.
  • Service electrical components such as photo eyes and sensors.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather; operate comfortably at heights and in tight spaces.
  • Perform minor fabrication when required.
  • Support other related tasks as needed and assigned.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance setting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems.
  • Proficiency reading electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints.
  • Comfort working with a range of power systems.
  • Experience with boiler systems (steam and water).

Core skills

  • Strong math and computer aptitude.
  • Solid reasoning and organizational abilities.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.

Physical and work environment

  • Capable of heavy lifting.
  • Adaptable to shifting workloads and a variety of personalities.
