Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk

Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. This position plays an important role in supporting company management through organized and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Manage weekly payroll and employee time reporting
- Reconcile bank statements and credit accounts
- Maintain general ledger and financial transaction records
- Prepare invoices, purchase orders, and payment reports
- Assist management with budget tracking and financial summaries
- File and organize accounting documentation
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information
Qualifications:
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or business preferred
