Fabrication & Construction Operations Supervisor
Lead the Pace of Build: A Day in This Role
You arrive to a clean, safe workshop, unlock the department, and scan the production plan. You translate drawings and work orders into clear assignments, balance team capacity, and set the tone for quality and safety. Throughout the day, you coach welders and assemblers, review timesheets, monitor throughput, and adjust schedules to hit delivery dates. You close the day by confirming machines and tools received proper daily care—and that the next shift can start strong.

- Oversee order planning for the construction department and track progress to plan.
- Review drawings and verbal/written specs for feasibility; clarify requirements for production teams.
- Issue job packets, provide support, and give clear work instructions to production employees.
- Allocate and adjust labor and machine capacity based on priorities and deadlines.
- Participate in planning and staffing meetings; escalate risks proactively.
- Check and approve daily employee timesheets.
- Own final product quality and on-time completion.
- Keep the workshop orderly and safe; enforce quality, health, safety, and environmental practices.
