Rolling Mill Production Operator
Schedule:
- Monday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Tuesday – Friday: 4:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18/hour (eligible for weekly production bonus after full-time hire)
Job Summary:
Operate rolling mill to size material, assist supervisors and during maintenance, and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow safety practices and seek continuous improvement.
- Size intermediate and finishing mills using Ajax.
- Maintain communication with Mill adjust personnel for quality control.
- Achieve expected production rates.
- Perform various duties including material loading, furnace operation, and mill adjustments.
Essential Job Duties:
- Assist main rolling mill positions to maintain production pace.
- Support maintenance activities.
- Maintain mill water and HMD systems.
- Log mill sizing and clean furnace debris/mill scale.
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail.
- Experience in manufacturing a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, bend, walk, twist, lift (up to 50lbs), and use hands/arms for material handling.
- Ability to communicate verbally.
