IT Systems Process Engineer

As a strategic partner to our operating Divisions across Smithers, the Systems Process Engineer will design, implement, and manage a set of IT related processes that will be utilized by our IT teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing and supporting best in class IT processes, services, and systems. Our growth at Smithers requires new processes be developed to support our expanding office locations as well as our legacy locations. This includes processes for licensing, provisioning, ticketing, securing, and maintaining a set of cloud-based IT technologies used across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Help Desk Tier 2 Process Management, including the development and implementation of metrics, process improvement, change management procedures, and managing vendor and internal IT team relationships.
• Align Baseline Security and Intune Deployment & Support Processes, including the use of Autopilot to install security software and mandated applications.
• Licensing Process Management, including the management of 3rd party contracts to meet our internal service level agreements.

• Manage shared service technologies and support Data Center and Cloud Systems Maintenance. Technologies such as ShareFile, SharePoint, etc. and ownership of Patch Management consolidated across Smithers.

• Assist with Baseline Security and Intune Deployment Support Services
• Enforcement of and compliance of Smithers IT policies
• Support Remote Hands and Vacation and Holiday Coverage, ensuring uninterrupted IT operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of proven experience in IT process management and support.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal abilities. Documentation and management of records experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, licensing, and security.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Vendor management experience is a plus.
• IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA) preferred.
