Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Operations Intern to join our team. This internship provides hands-on experience in field operations, project management, and construction processes within the paving and infrastructure industry. The Construction Operations Intern will support site teams in ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist field operations teams with daily tasks related to paving and construction projects
- Support project managers and site supervisors with documentation, scheduling, and communication
- Observe and learn construction site safety protocols and help maintain a safe work environment
- Conduct quality control checks and help monitor project progress on-site
- Help coordinate materials, equipment, and labor to support efficient workflow
- Assist in maintaining project records, including reports, timesheets, and equipment logs
- Collaborate with various departments including engineering, quality control, and safety teams
- Participate in site meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Strong interest in construction operations, paving, and infrastructure development
- Basic understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on active construction sites
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree prpgram in the following:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Construction Management
