Buyer
A Buyer is needed for a leader in power and automation technologies in the Westerville, OH area. This role requires an Associate's degree in business or supply chain and 2 to 3 years of experience to manage the cost-effective acquisition of quality materials, prepare bid tabulations, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure compliance and timely delivery. location: Westerville, Ohio

work hours: 8am to 4pm

Procurement and Negotiation:
- Request supplier quotations and prepare detailed bid tabulations.
- Select the lowest qualified bids based on established criteria.
- Assist with negotiations to obtain the best terms and conditions for the company.
- Issue purchase orders and supplements in accordance with official policies and procedures.
- Prepare associated documents required to finalize purchasing agreements.
- Enforce terms and conditions of purchase orders and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Resolve non-conformance issues, back-charges, and claims promptly to minimize company exposure.
- Review questionable situations with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all procurement activities align with internal company policies.
- Strive for continuous improvement in cycle time, on-time delivery, cost, and quality.
- Maintain and update supplier qualifications and associated supply management databases.
- Coordinate with internal groups to resolve purchasing or delivery problems.
- Associate's Degree in business or supply chain management.
- Up to 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Understanding of technical drawings and standard procurement procedures.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Proficient in interfacing with various departments regarding the procurement process.
- Previous experience using SAP software.
- Direct experience in purchasing or supply chain management roles.
- strong communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle tasks involving minor financial commitments and low technical complexity.
- Commitment to continuous improvement in procurement metrics and quality standards.
