Position Summary
The Director of Su Casa Hispanic Center provides leadership and operational oversight for programs serving low-income Hispanic/Latino individuals and families across Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio’s service area. This role is responsible for setting strategic direction, ensuring program excellence, and fostering a culture of inclusion and respect. The Director manages a multidisciplinary team, oversees departmental budgets and grant compliance, and drives continuous quality improvement to achieve measurable outcomes in client services. Acting as a liaison to community partners, funders, and stakeholders, the Director strengthens collaborative networks and advocates for the needs of immigrant communities. Success in this position is defined by effective program delivery, strong team engagement, and demonstrable impact on client well-being and community integration.
Essential Job Functions:
Program Leadership and Operations
- Plan, implement, and evaluate programs and regular activities relating to Su Casa Hispanic Center including, but not limited to, Emergency Assistance, Case Management, Health Promotion, MARCC ID, and Las Posadas Christmas event.
- Foster community, accessibility, and belonging among Su Casa team members and those served by Su Casa, creating an environment of respect toward diverse languages, cultures, and beliefs; creating an environment where all are welcome.
- Develop departmental and programmatic budgets, plans, and reports in collaboration with the CFO, COO, and/or Assistant Director of Mission Advancement, including individual grant applications, grant reports, logic models, and annual plans.
Staff Supervision and Development
- Oversee the implementation and coordination of professional development and training for staff and volunteers.
- Provide ongoing supervision to program supervisors and the administrative assistant/intake.
- Provide weekly supervision support to direct reports and facilitate monthly staff meetings for the Su Casa team to promote team work, communication, and accountability.
Partnerships, Community Engagement, and Fundraising
- Collaborate with other Catholic Charities programs and foster partnerships with other community resources and organizations to maximize services for clients.
- Collaborate with the Development team, especially the Assistant Director of Mission Advancement, to develop and complete grant applications and other fundraising activities.
- Serve on the Su Casa Advisory Council by providing programmatic updates and reports about recent departmental activities.
- Provide educational presentations to the community about the services of Su Casa, Catholic Charities, and education about Hispanic/Latino culture to promote solidarity and cross-cultural understanding, in partnership with the Development department.
- Seek out and engage with local coalitions and partnerships, such as the Humanitarian Committee of the Immigrant Dignity Coalition, that lead to improved outcomes for people served.
Compliance, Reporting, and Quality Improvement
- Direct Su Casa programs regarding compliance with any and all accreditation and best practice standards, as applicable.
- Lead departmental quality improvement activities, including quarterly chart reviews and regular collection of client satisfaction surveys, collecting feedback from at least 10% of persons served.
- Ensure programs meet or exceed funder requirements and performance metrics.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) or an equivalent degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other behavioral science.
- Minimum of five years of supervisory experience with multidisciplinary and culturally diverse teams.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish.
- Significant experience working with immigrants, including deep understanding of Hispanic/Latino culture in the United States and demonstrated cultural humility.
- Evidence of servant leadership, that is, putting the needs and well-being of clients and those being supervised as a top priority.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging presentations tailored to diverse audiences, using compelling narratives and data to inspire action and build understanding.
- Experience in collaborating with other organizational partners to align resources towards achieving objectives.
- Proven ability to lead and prioritize competing demands in a dynamic environment, managing diverse teams, programs, and funding streams independently.
- Demonstrated capacity to foster trust and professional growth within teams through emotional intelligence and sound judgment.
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement and accountability towards results.
- Highly proficient in the utilization of technology such as Salesforce (or similar client management software) and Microsoft Office, including, but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in social work (MSW) or an equivalent degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other behavioral science.
- Experience with nonprofit program management and grant-funded programs.
- Experience with data-driven decision making and outcome measurement.
- Knowledge of local resources to support immigrant families.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Direct reports: Administrative Assistant, Case Management Supervisor, Emergency Assistance Supervisor, and Health Promotion Supervisor.

Organizational Responsibility:
Employees of Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio will have knowledge of the Catholic faith, a willingness to work for a Catholic, faith-based agency and adhere to the policies of Catholic Charities. Employees will not publicly oppose the teachings of the Catholic Faith nor publicly advocate for any position in conflict with Catholic teaching, or the specific positions of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati or the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. This requirement includes any public speech, demonstration or writing including the use of social media or other digital technologies.
Work Environment:
Typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues. Occasional evening and weekend work, especially for special events like the MARCC ID, Las Posadas, etc.
