Plant Operations Manager

Salary:
$125k-$150k+

Job Summary:
The Plant Operations Manager plays a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s strategic vision and driving operational excellence. This leader collaborates closely with ownership and the executive leadership team to implement strategic initiatives that support growth objectives and ensure operational efficiency across all functions. The role leads, directs, and controls the day-to-day operations of the Hudson manufacturing facility, providing oversight of manufacturing, sales, quality assurance, and administrative teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings an entrepreneurial mindset and strong continuous improvement focus to optimize performance and achieve financial and operational objectives aligned with the division’s business plan.

Job Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
• Lead a safe, injury- and accident-free workplace
• Direct daily operations across molding, machining, secondary operations, sales, quality assurance, and administration
• Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure production meets safety, quality, and customer standards
• Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve efficiency
• Develop and execute strategic manufacturing plans to fully utilize resources and maximize capacity
• Manage production flow to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks to quality or delivery timelines
• Track work orders and maintain accurate electronic and physical records
Strategic & Continuous Improvement
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and capacity
• Monitor production and quality performance metrics
• Drive operational excellence through strategic planning and execution
• Manage and communicate shifting priorities to department leaders
• Collaborate with leadership across production, marketing, sales, and finance to execute long-term growth strategies
Team Leadership & Culture
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing cross-functional operations team
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Partner with Human Resources to ensure employee engagement and policy compliance
• Work closely with the General Manager to resolve operational challenges and implement improvements
Vendor & External Relations
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and logistics partners to ensure reliability and scalability

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations
• Proven track record of driving transformational change in a manufacturing environment
• Senior-level operational experience, preferably as a Plant Manager or similar role
• Demonstrated success driving operational excellence and business growth
• Experience managing multi-site or national manufacturing operations preferred
