Senior Corporate Accountant POST NUMBER: 479079

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core corporate accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing technical accounting responsibilities with process optimization and special projects in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Own key components of the month-end and quarter-end close, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy across balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Prepare account reconciliations, variance analyses, and financial reporting support, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting.
• Support external audit activities by preparing requested documentation and coordinating with auditors.
• Maintain and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support consistency and compliance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies across accounting workflows.
• Partner cross-functionally with finance and operational teams to improve recurring transaction processes and reporting accuracy.
• Assist with recurring financial processes such as commission calculations, expense reporting, and operational reporting support.
• Participate in special projects and support broader finance initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Experience preparing journal entries, variance analyses, and supporting financial reporting required.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience working with ERP or accounting systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and improve processes. Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
