Job Description

Our client is hiring an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist to provide special education services for preschool-aged children. This role includes case management, IEP development, mentoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support individualized learning and behavioral goals. The specialist ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering inclusive and developmentally appropriate learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

• Prepare written documentation including progress reports, meeting notices, and prior written notices

• Facilitate and schedule IEP meetings with families and staff

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely service delivery

• Create and monitor behavior intervention plans

• Supervise and evaluate paraeducators and other assigned personnel

• Maintain accurate records and complete billing documentation per district procedures

• Apply evidence-based practices in early childhood education

• Communicate professionally in both written and verbal formats

• Participate in problem-solving teams and professional development

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

• Valid Ohio teaching license or eligibility for licensure with early childhood special education endorsement

• Strong understanding of early childhood development and individualized teaching strategies

• Proficiency in multimedia and assistive technologies

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to collaborate with children, families, and school staff
