Preschool Teacher

Preschool teachers implement the Creative Curriculum and Conscious Discipline® with children served under the Head Start program and private pay child care. Teachers support children’s development with screenings and assessment utilizing developmentally appropriate strategies. Teachers establish partnerships with parents to assist parents in their role as children’s first and most important teacher. The teacher actively trains and develops assistant teachers and teacher aides in the classroom.

The successful candidate will have at minimum an associate degree in Early Childhood Development/Education or a related field and experience working in a preschool classroom. Strong computer skills and/or data entry experience are necessary for this position. The stated starting wage is for a a teacher holding an AA in a qualifying field.
