Material Flow & Warehouse Operations Technician
A day in this role
Step onto the floor and set the pace for the day. You’ll review daily pick sheets, follow established SOPs, and keep materials moving so production never misses a beat. From receiving to staging to shipping, you’ll orchestrate the flow of raw materials and finished goods while keeping the warehouse tidy and safe.
- Begin by checking warehouse pick sheets/lists and locating the required items.
- Load and unload trucks or pallets as directed, following SOPs for material movement.
- Stage raw materials and finished products accurately to support production and outbound shipments.
- Stock items based on the warehouse’s storage layout and design for optimal accessibility.
- Scan raw materials and finished goods to their proper locations when directed to keep inventory accurate.
- Flag and report discrepancies to your supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment: practice 6S, and care for racking, tool boards, and warehouse equipment.
- Join manufacturing/operational improvement discussions and share ideas to enhance flow and safety.
- Attend company‑sponsored training sessions as required to sharpen your skills.
What you’ll need
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of warehouse or closely related experience.
- Comfort working independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
Compensation
$15.81 to $23.41 hourly. Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skill set.
