Job Title: Audio, Video, and Lighting (AVL) Director

Location: The Tree Church

Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, plus special events

Position Summary:

The Tree Church is seeking an experienced and confident Audio, Video, and Lighting (AVL)

Director to lead our technical ministry. This director-level role requires expertise in sound,

lighting, and video production, along with a strong ability to recruit, schedule, and lead volunteer

teams. The AVL Director will ensure high-quality worship experiences and seamless production

for Sunday services and special events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of audio, video, and lighting production for weekly services and

special events.

• Operate and maintain soundboards, lighting consoles, and video systems.
• Proficiently run ProPresenter or similar presentation software.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and lead volunteer teams, fostering a culture of excellence and

teamwork.

• Collaborate with pastors, worship leaders, and other ministry staff to execute creative

vision.

• Ensure all AVL equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during services and events efficiently and calmly.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the overall quality of AVL production.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in audio, video, and lighting for live events or church settings.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage volunteers.
• Proficient in operating soundboards, lighting consoles, and video systems.
• Experience with ProPresenter or similar presentation software.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work Sunday–Thursday and be available for special events as needed.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across ministry teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a technical director in a church setting.
• Knowledge of stage design, live streaming, and advanced lighting techniques.
