Machine Operator, Press
- Starts machine and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
- Weigh metal powders to meet engineering requirements.
- Operates machine to produce quality product while ensuring quality is being maintained in accordance with customer specifications.
- Visually inspect parts for defects
- Load parts for furnace operation.
- Process product in a timely fashion as set by work standards for each specific job or piece of equipment, while maintaining safe work practices at all times.
- Measure and interpret product dimensions and conditions using simple tools as micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators.
- Operate and adjust hydraulic press to produce powder compacts.
- Utilize measuring devices to ensure compacts meet engineering specifications.
- Position demands the ability to use basic arithmetic and to interpret and adhere to specification requirements.
- One year experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Business needs and trade compliance requirements mandate that this position be held by a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
