Process Engineer (Chemical Industry)
Project Details:
- test, monitor and/or maintain new processes
- collect data required to make improvements and modifications
- oversee the operations and/or construction of the plant
- use and develop process simulation software to work out the best production methods
- purchase and install equipment
- use scientific principles related to, but not limited to, magnitude, momentum, heat transfer etc.
- supervise plant operations
- investigate and troubleshoot plant/process problems
- schedule and coordinate work to tight deadlines and within financial budgets
- ensure equipment works to its specification and to appropriate capacities
- assess safety and environmental issues
- liaise with installation/project engineers and specialists
- ensure safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety legislation
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical engineering, mechanical engineering or relevant work experience
- Problem solving skills
- Great communication skills - verbal and written
