Accounts Receivable and Payable Specialist

Job Title: Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist
Salary Range: $60,000–$70,000 (based on experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist to take full ownership of our AP and AR functions. This role is a unique opportunity for a self-starter who enjoys managing end-to-end processes, improving systems, and making a meaningful impact within the organization.

This position is open due to an upcoming retirement, offering a smooth transition and the opportunity to step into a well-established role while shaping it to fit your strengths and ideas.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments
• Generate and distribute customer invoices and follow up on outstanding balances
• Follow up on past due accounts and make calls on those accounts, as needed
• Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts
• Monitor cash flow related to payables and receivables
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors/customers
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes
• Take ownership of systems, reporting, and workflow improvements

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort with financial systems/technology
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently
• Self-motivated with a proactive, “ownership” mindset
• Manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required
