Residential Services Supervisor
Job Type: Full-time

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Administrative:
Orientation and training of new Behavior Specialists and Relief Workers
On-unit mentoring, coaching and support to Behavior Specialists, Relief Workers, and Interns, provide timely feedback to individual staff
Development of therapeutic programming with clients; manage staff assignments in accordance with therapeutic expectations of program
Review daily documentation and communications, providing immediate feedback as relevant
Assist Behavior Specialists with de-escalation techniques and in debriefings with client
Identify and request program and unit supplies
Direct Services:
Adhere to agency policy regarding accurate and timely documentation including oversight of Residential staff documentation
Engage clients and caregivers in treatment, exhibiting empathy, sensitivity, cultural competence and respect
Communicate with caregiver and Treatment Team to facilitate home visits
Serve as liaison with Transportation Coordinator to ensure pick-up and drop-off of clients, and to increase efficiency and safety of transportation for clients
Serve as liaison with Nursing Staff, coordinating client medical needs and ensuring successful medication administration by Behavior Specialists
Act as liaison with Director of Human Resources regarding interns and volunteers assigned to the Residential Treatment program including scheduling, orientation, training, monitoring and evaluations
Serve as liaison with schools regarding school safety plans and education plans
School Safety Plans:
Primary coordination with family, client and school personnel to establish individualized return-to-school safety plans
Phone support for residential clients as identified in school safety plan including support for clients who are experiencing physical/emotional escalation in school setting
Collaborate with caregivers to develop personalized education plans for clients who reside outside of Wood County
Provide Residential Unit shift coverage in the absence of appropriate staffing level
Professionalism:
Represent the Children’s Resource Center in a professional and respectful manner (including appearance and demeanor) across all platforms (i.e. in person, virtual, social media, etc.) within and outside of the agency
Promote agency mission and values through actions and communications
Complete required trainings promptly.
Communicate in articulate, organized and grammatically accurate manner, orally and in written communications
Adhere to HIPAA, agency, state, and federal guidelines regarding client confidentiality
Promote trauma-informed care by utilizing the core values and tools with clients and staff
Qualifications:
Experience working with behaviorally or emotionally challenged youth.
Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, symptomatology, and treatment programming.
Understanding of trauma-informed practices.
Satisfactory completion of criminal records checks (BCI and FBI) and state-required database checks.
Ability to work evenings and weekends if needed
Familiarity with electronic health records
