Business Solutions Analyst

Ohio Gratings is transforming steel-grating manufacturing through data-driven products improved business systems and streamlined operations. We seek a Business Solutions Analyst who can work with departments to understand business needs document processes identify practical improvement opportunities and help move ideas from concept to implementation. This role serves as a bridge between business users implementation leadership and technical development teams using AI and automation tools where appropriate to prototype validate and support better ways of working.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Business Process Discovery & Documentation

o Meet with department leaders and end users to understand current workflows pain points manual tasks and business needs.

o Document current-state and future-state processes requirements SOPs user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Solution Design & AI-Enabled Prototyping

o Identify opportunities to improve processes through better systems automation reporting AI tools or workflow changes.

o Build lightweight prototypes mockups prompt examples or low-code/no-code concepts to validate ideas before full development.

• Developer & Implementation Handoff

o Translate business needs into clear functional requirements business rules sample outputs test scenarios and known limitations.

o Work with developers vendors and system owners to clarify requirements and confirm the final solution matches the business need.

• Rollout Training & Adoption

o Support user acceptance testing rollout planning training materials quick-reference guides and post-launch feedback.

o Help users adopt new tools and identify additional improvements after implementation.

EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE AND PROFICIENCIES:

• Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems Operations Technology or related field - OR - equivalent hands-on experience related to these fields.
• 2 years of experience in business analysis systems implementation process improvement project coordination or a similar role.
• Proven ability to document workflows requirements SOPs user stories and business rules in a clear and organized manner.
• Comfortable using Microsoft 365 Teams SharePoint Excel AI tools and business applications to support daily work.
• Ability to translate vague business problems into actionable requirements and explain solutions in plain English to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organization follow-up communication and meeting facilitation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Experience with ERP CRM workflow reporting or enterprise business systems.
• Experience using AI or automation tools such as Microsoft Copilot ChatGPT Claude Power Automate Power Apps or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile methods project management tools user acceptance testing or change-management practices.
• Exposure to manufacturing estimating finance supply chain customer service or shared services environments.

Authorized to work in the U.S.; willing to travel up to 10 % for site visits or conferences.
