Data Platform Architect

We are seeking a Data Platform Architect to lead the design and implementation of a modern, scalable data platform. This role is focused on building a unified data foundation that enables advanced analytics, business intelligence, and emerging AI-driven use cases.

You will play a central role in transforming fragmented data landscapes into a cohesive, reusable, and semantically structured data layer , enabling capabilities such as standardized reporting, KPI definition, and “talk to your data” experiences powered by AI.

This is a hands-on architectural role , requiring both strategic thinking and the ability to execute. It does not include people management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a Unified Data Layer that integrates data across multiple systems
• Define and establish data contracts between source systems to ensure consistency and reusability
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, including:
• Transformation and modeling
• Semantic layer design for analytics and AI use cases
• Translate raw data into structured, business-ready formats suitable for Business intelligence and reporting
• Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate technologies for a modern data lakehouse architecture
• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and long-term sustainability of the platform

Importantly, this role requires ownership across the full lifecycle — from architectural design to implementation.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Approximately 5–7 years of professional experience in data engineering, data platform, or data architecture roles

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong expertise in data modeling and database design
• Hands-on experience with building and operating data platforms or data pipelines
• Solid understanding of data lake and/or lakehouse architectures
• Experience working with cloud environments, preferably AWS
• Proficiency in designing scalable and maintainable data solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in building or contributing to shared data platforms or platform teams
• Familiarity with tools such as Snowflake or Databricks
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and CI/CD practices
• Basic understanding of AI/ML data requirements or experience supporting analytics/AI use cases
