Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1940 - $1990

Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: 36-bed Oncology Telemetry unit with 24+ PCU beds
• Contract Length: 13-16 weeks; option to extend through 1/17/2026
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• RN Shifts: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (days: 07:30-19:30, nights: 19:00-07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:3 PCU, 1:4-5 Med Surg Telemetry
• Orientation: 1 week classroom, 36 hours on-unit with preceptor

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state license required
• Minimum 2 years of high-acuity PCU nursing experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required for PCU jobs)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Epic charting experience (EMR proficiency)
• Ability to float to other PCU or MedSurg Oncology units
• 2 professional references (at least 1 from a manager/director)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process after contract signing

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to oncology, orthopedic, and thoracic oncology patients in a PCU setting
• Interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and respond to rapid response calls
• Administer blood products, manage central/peripheral lines, and care for chest tubes and tracheostomies
• Operate specialized equipment: GE telemetry, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds, PCA pumps, bladder scanners, high flow nasal cannula
• Implement infection prevention and fall prevention protocols
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy)
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
