As Account Representative II, fulfilling this goal starts in the office, where you will focus on billing insurance, following up on account reconciliations, and completing various administrative tasks. You will perform specific operational responsibilities within a functional unit of revenue cycle management, including customer service, insurance billing, insurance verifications, account reconciliation and fulfilling various other administrative tasks. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance your customer service skills, expand your account management knowledge and find your place within an innovative healthcare setting.
A caregiver in this position works remotely from 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. While not required, residing in Ohio is preferred in case occasional on-site presence at CC Business Operations Center (BOC) is needed.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Prepare, analyze and communicate key financial information.

Provide support to management and other staff members regarding financial reporting and other issues.

Assist with budget preparation, budget review for compliance and financial planning processes.

Retrieve and manipulate complex information with database tools, such as SAS and Teradata.

Consult with all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies and procedures.

Perform special projects and duties related to research, forecasting and conflict resolution.

Determine how to attack the balance - portal, follow up with Payer, etc.

Contact insurance companies.

Handle global transplant or package bills - both professional and technical reimbursements.

Deal with transplant networks.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
-
High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience in a patient account or financial environment OR Associate's Degree and one year of experience OR Bachelor's Degree

Understanding contracts to follow up on claims or willingness to learn contract details

Knowledge of patient accounts which includes customer service, insurance processing, insurance verification and cash application

Knowledge of additional specialized functions may be required such as third-party payors, Medicare processing, hospital and physician billing and pricing, CPT4/ICD code application

Knowledge of medical billing and/or insurance reimbursement

Epic and Excel knowledge

Physical Requirements:

Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.

May require periods of sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the Foundation to attend meetings; must have normal or correction vision to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
