We are looking for a skilled Security Operations Specialist to join our team in Columbus, Ohio, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of technical security systems and processes while maintaining strict compliance with established procedures. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including integrators and internal teams, to deliver high-quality security services and resolve issues promptly.
Responsibilities:• Manage and monitor ticket queues, ensuring timely resolution and accurate completion of service requests.
• Oversee system health checks, identifying maintenance needs and coordinating troubleshooting efforts with integrators.
• Collaborate with Technical Security Specialists to optimize system operations and ensure automation processes function as intended.
• Assist with projects and assignments related to technical security, ensuring adherence to defined procedures and standards.
• Develop strong working relationships with integrators to facilitate the installation, servicing, and support of security equipment.
• Program and update technical security systems based on established procedures, including performing basic troubleshooting tasks.
• Conduct compliance testing and audits in partnership with Risk and Audit teams to ensure technical security procedures meet regulatory standards.
• Liaise with branch and back-office teams to address and resolve security-related issues.
• Ensure routine processes align with technical security guidelines and maintain high service quality.
• Manage project-related documentation, including k-forms and invoicing, for business-as-usual security initiatives.• High school diploma is required; an associate degree in Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in operating, configuring, or managing security systems such as intrusion detection, video surveillance, or access control.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience managing ticketing systems and queues.
• Experience working with security integrators to ensure proper equipment installation and servicing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, with advanced skills in Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to obtain certification for a technical security application.
• Prior experience in security within financial institutions is a plus.
