Job Title: Safety Associate - LOTO

Location: Columbus, OH
Start Date: Immediate.

Candidate must have 5-10 years of LOTO experience, high/low voltage electrical experience.

About the Role:

Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Safety Associate . The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing health and safety practices in accordance with OSHA regulations and client standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide LOTO support to the management team.
• Maintain safety logs – file and track all site safety reports
• Conduct LOTO audits, work with commissioning team
• Identify and mitigate gaps in Safety procedures.
• Assist in external agency interactions (OSHA Inspectors, OSHA Log Management) as appropriate.
• Complete regular, standardized reports detailing project safety status and report to management.

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of LOTO experience in a construction setting.
• LOTO and noise monitoring experience.
• Excellent communicator and facilitator.
• Excellent computer skills.
• PSM experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary EHS representative for the project, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and contract requirements.
• Support the project management team with on-site safety inspections, reporting, and training coordination.
• Conduct and document daily safety inspections of the job site.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety logs , incident reports, and OSHA recordkeeping (including injury/illness logs).
• Interface with regulatory agencies such as OSHA as needed.
• Provide ongoing safety training and toolbox talks to on-site personnel.
• Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate closely with facility management and subcontractors to ensure alignment with EHS standards.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of continuous experience in construction safety experience
• OSHA 510 is mandatory.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital safety platforms.
• Must be able to work independently and manage site safety with minimal supervision.
• U.S. Citizenship required
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with incident investigation and root cause analysis methods.
• Prior experience coordinating with subcontractors and site leadership on large-scale builds.
