Service Porter

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Service Porter is responsible to greet each customer as they arrive in the service reception area and transition their vehicle to the service center for maintenance and/or repair. This position has a variety of tasks to serve customer and associate needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Nurture a culture of extraordinary customer and associate experiences.
  • Execute consistent processes to assure favorable customer and associate experiences.
  • Drive and park vehicles.
  • Stage customer vehicles for maintenance and/or repair.
  • Execute courtesy car wash services to Premier customers.
  • Pick up and deliver customers (shuttle) as instructed by the manager.
  • Retrieve completed vehicles for customer delivery post repair.
  • Monitor, maintain and freshen washrooms, lounge, cafĂ©, and facility.
  • Report progress, challenges, options, and solutions to assure outstanding results.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Extensive walking, standing, driving vehicles, occasional lifting (<50 pounds)
  • Fast pace, multi-tasking.
  • Extensive personal interactions and communication.
  • Efficient use of software, technology, and data-entry.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

  • This is an entry level position with avenues forward as a technician or Service Salesperson.
  • Hours may vary daily to meet business demands.
  • Typical full-time schedules run 7 to 8 hours five or six days a week.
  • Typical part-time schedules 4 to 8 hours six days a week.
