Position Overview:
Mogadore Jr./Sr. High School is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Grades 712 Integrated
Science Teacher to join our secondary faculty. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, critical
thinking, and scientific literacy through engaging, inquiry-based instruction aligned with state
standards.
The Integrated Science Teacher will design and deliver instruction across multiple science
disciplines (life science, physical science, earth and space science, and environmental science)
and create meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for college, careers, and civic
engagement.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence, equity, and
fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. This position supports the
district's mission to prepare all students for postsecondary success through high-quality
instruction aligned with state standards and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
Required Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in Science Education or related scientific field.
? Valid Ohio 7-12 grade Integrated Science teaching license
? Demonstrated knowledge of adolescent development and effective instructional
strategies.
? Ability to integrate technology to enhance student learning.
? A clear BCI/FBI record.
Preferred Qualifications
? Master's degree in education or science-related discipline.
? Experience implementing NGSS or similar state science standards.
? Experience teaching in a public school setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
? Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in integrated science courses at the middle and/or high school level.
? Design and facilitate laboratory investigations that emphasize inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
? Align curriculum, instruction, and assessment to state standards and district frameworks.
? Use formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction and support student growth.
? Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with disabilities, multilingual learners, and gifted students.
? Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress in accordance with district policy.
? Establish and maintain a safe classroom and laboratory environment following district and state safety guidelines.
? Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum alignment and student achievement.
? Communicate effectively and professionally with students, families, and staff.
? Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and district initiatives.
? Uphold district policies, procedures, and the code of professional conduct. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

? Ability to analyze student data to guide instruction.

? Ability to supervise students in various settings, including labs and field experiences.
