You will build a foundational platform consisting of web service APIs and workflows which make Aurora Serverless highly available scalable reliable and fast. Key job responsibilities
These are core systems development positions where you will grow to own the design and development of significant system software components critical to our industry leading database services architected for the cloud. You will be part of the team that architects designs and implements highly scalable distributed database systems that provide availability reliability and performance guarantees. This is a hands-on position where you will be asked to do everything from building rock-solid components to mentoring other engineers. You need to be not only a top software developer with a good track record of delivering but also excel in communication leadership and customer focus. - 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team

- 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
