OhioHealth Doctors Hospital is seeking a Director of Medical Education to lead and advance graduate medical education at one of the nation’s premier osteopathic teaching hospitals. As the second-largest osteopathic teaching hospital in the U.S. , Doctors Hospital supports 8 residency programs and 3 fellowships , totaling 170 residents and fellows.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and oversee competency-based graduate medical education programs
2. Ensure educational quality through metrics, evaluations, and continuous improvement
3. Provide operational oversight of ambulatory teaching sites
4. Promote and advance osteopathic medical education
5. Partner closely with Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and Osteopathic Heritage Foundations
6. Collaborate with program directors, faculty and senior leadership

Requirements:

1. DO strongly preferred (MD considered with commitment to osteopathic culture)
2. Medical education leadership and strategy experience
3. Strong relationship-building, mentoring, and communication skills
4. Collaborative, visible, systems-oriented leadership style
