Bring your multi-axis machining expertise to our aerospace and defense team. You’ll set up and validate 4- and 5-axis CNC milling programs on advanced machining centers, producing complex geometries in metals and composites that meet exacting tolerances.

A day in the life

Start your day reviewing routers, manufacturing process plans, and blueprints. You’ll plan your setup using the prescribed setup sheet, select and load tooling, and bring programs online—downloading or uploading at the control as needed. On first-piece prove-out, you’ll verify features with handheld metrology tools and make on-the-fly edits to G & M code to dial in performance. As each operation completes, you’ll document progress on the router before moving work to the next step, collaborating under moderate supervision to keep parts flowing.

Shifts and pay

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 10-hour shifts beginning at 5:30 am (typical 50-hour work week with overtime).
• 2nd Shift: Multiple configurations available (4x10, 5x10, or 4x12). 25% pay differential applies to 2nd shift.

What you’ll do

• Interpret routers, MPPs, engineering drawings, and verbal direction with moderate supervision.
• Plan and execute machine setups per setup sheets, selecting required tooling for the CNC program.
• Use a range of handheld gages and measuring instruments to confirm conformity.
• Create programs at the machine when needed and perform read/edit adjustments to G & M code.
• Send and retrieve programs at the control; manage revisions on the floor.
• Record completed operations on the router prior to moving parts to the next process.

What you’ll bring

• Completion of a high school machine trades program preferred.
• G & M coding experience with the ability to read and edit at the control.
• Blueprint literacy and working knowledge of GD & T.
• Strong mechanical instincts and spatial reasoning.
