Trane is a pioneering force in the HVAC sector, dedicated to sustainable and visionary solutions. As we embark on an ambitious electrification of heat initiative, we are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Portfolio Manager to develop and execute the electrification of heat systems strategy, with a strong focus on aggressive growth. This is a Remote position. Please be advised of travel up to 75% of time for customer visits, industry conferences and sales office visits.
Responsibilities
- Portfolio Strategy: Set the strategy for the Electrification of Heat Segment Growth Team including guiding product managers in the prioritization of specific opportunities for growth.
- Segment Growth Team: Lead the cross functional leadership team to deliver solutions that can deliver exponential growth by maintaining a keen understanding of where to play and how to win in the market.
- Customer Focus: Persistently engage in customer conversations and interactions with the sales organization. Always look to discover unmet needs, informing and updating the product roadmap accordingly.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory advisors, industry partners, and suppliers. This collaboration will facilitate the smooth execution of the electrification strategy while maintaining a focus on new opportunities.
- Product Management: Collaborate with product development teams to ensure the successful introduction of electrified products into the market. Manage product lifecycles meticulously, ensuring market readiness, and leveraging product management excellence principles to optimize product development processes.
- Resource Management: Champion electrified heating projects and products within the broader chiller portfolio. Be able to clearly define and secure resources necessary to accomplish growth targets.
- Portfolio Balance: Collaborate with other leaders and product managers to ensure product line strategy supports broader system initiatives and overall equipment strategy.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management. Connect initiatives to the portfolio strategy using data-driven insights to share the results, actions and vision for the portfolio.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field required. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 10 -15 years of experience in Product Management or closely related roles required.
- Travel up to 75% of time for customer visits, industry conferences and sales office visits.
- Strong background in development and execution of strategic initiatives, with a keen eye for growth.
- Highly motivated, energetic, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in product management and bringing innovative products to market while adhering to process excellence standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
Base Pay Range: $124,177 - $200,000
Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
