Cleveland Clinic Children's **Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, M52** , is a 9-bed unit specializing in treatment of patients with seizure disorders, post-surgical seizure focus removals and those needing medication adjustments. Each year, more than 2,000 pediatric epilepsy patients visit our outpatient clinics. Advanced technology enables us to provide accurate diagnosis, effective treatment and improved quality of life. As Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), you will offer unparalleled customer service to patients, families and visitors to enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience. Using your administrative and clerical skills, you will ensure efficient operational flow of the department, allowing your fellow caregivers to continue providing optimal patient care. **A caregiver in this position works** **2nd shift position working 3pm - 11:30pm or 11am - 11:30pm. Although it will mostly be 3pm - 11:30pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients. + Respond to patient call lights and make rounds. + Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges. + Assist patients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources. + Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care. + Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma or GED + One year of experience in a customer service-related role + Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + College degree + Microsoft Office experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
