Quality Inspection & Metrology Manager
A day in the life
As the Quality Inspection & Metrology Manager, you own the full spectrum of Quality Control activities—inspection and metrology—serving as the subject matter expert for all inspection (non-NDT) and measurement practices. You orchestrate people, process, and technology so product conformity is proven early, issues are contained fast, and records flow cleanly to Quality Assurance.

- Review in-process inspection data to verify conformity as early in the build as possible and redeploy resources to maximize inspection effectiveness.
- Assess nonconformance reports to ensure they are documented accurately and on time, with affected product contained and traced.
- Check that final production records are complete and accurate, ready for Quality Assurance processing.
- Prepare for or support regulatory audits and ensure inspection procedures and evidence align to applicable standards.
- Walk the floor to monitor adherence to manufacturing and inspection processes—coaching and correcting where needed.
- Meet with your team to align training plans, close skill gaps, and sustain high morale and engagement.
