Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, insightful, and data-driven technical peer reviews during the design process.

• Familiarize with control panel fabrication processes and best practices for wiring.

• Develop and review electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools.

• Lead and deploy teams to successfully complete multiple projects on time and with high precision.

• Select industrial hardware, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, safety components, sensors, relays, and circuit protection devices.

• Maintain positive, professional relationships across all organizational levels.

• Ensure compliance with NEC, Electrical Standards for Industrial Machinery, and UL regulatory requirements.

• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in multiple PLC platforms (primarily Allen-Bradley), HMIs, and other control software.

• Communicate effectively, conveying both technical and non-technical information to large, cross-functional teams.

• Support manufacturing operations, including BOM creation, engineering change notice (ECN) processes, and product release documentation.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLC programming, AutoCAD Electrical, and controls engineering.

• Experience in integration and engineering management.

• In-depth understanding of NEC, Electrical Standards for Industrial Machinery, and UL regulatory compliance.

• Advanced proficiency in multiple PLC platforms and control software.

• Effective communication skills for large, cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in controls or electrical engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Controls or Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Highly skilled with Rockwell Studio 5000.

• Highly skilled with AutoCAD Electrical and/or E-Plan.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role with approximately 30% travel involved. The work environment is supportive and encourages cross-functional teamwork and leadership development.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
