For more information, please visit Our Business Begins With You(r). Position Responsibilities Include: Perform month-end and year-end close processes. Reconcile client trust accounts in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines. Reconciliation of multiple bank accounts to the GL accounts daily. Manage general ledger functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances. Prepare imports for bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and partners payroll. Documenting internal controls and recommending process improvements, as necessary. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and reports. Prepare foreign wires to IP practice group legal vendors doing international and domestic filing work. Assisting Accounting Manager in streamlining accounting processes through leveraging existing technology or outside services. Mentoring of accounting staff, providing guidance and direction. Serving as backup and performing additional duties for other accounting areas, as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Qualified Applicants Will Have: Bachelors degree in accounting required CPA highly required. 4+ years general accounting experience required, preferably at legal or services firm. Excellent analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail. Outstanding organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to utilize technology to streamline accounting processes and proficiency in Excel.
