We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Springfield, Ohio. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage month-end close activities, including reconciliation and reporting tasks.
• Perform detailed bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash flow records.
• Support year-end audit processes by compiling necessary documentation and collaborating with auditors.
• Maintain and monitor the general ledger, ensuring entries are properly classified and up to date.
• Assist in the preparation of corporate tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies, contributing to informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve accounting-related issues.
• Ensure adherence to organizational financial policies and procedures.
• Provide recommendations for process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in year-end audit support, bank reconciliation, and month-end close processes.
• Proficiency in maintaining and reviewing general ledger accounts.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax return preparation and compliance.
• Ability to prepare and analyze journal entries with precision.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively across departments.
