Job Title: Custodian
Job Summary:
As the Custodian at PLK Communities, you play a crucial role in ensuring our multi-family apartment community remains clean, welcoming, and comfortable for residents and visitors. Your hard work and attention to detail help maintain the property's appearance and contribute to a positive living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, amenity areas, and recreation facilities.
- Perform regular upkeep of outdoor areas, such as walkways, parking lots, and landscaped areas, including trash removal and sweeping.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces and ensure cleanliness in shared spaces.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down community events or meetings.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues to management.
- Respond promptly to resident and staff requests related to cleanliness and minor maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and procedures.
- Support maintenance team with light duties as needed.
Position Expectations
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Dependability in working regular scheduled hours and being consistently available for assigned shifts
