CNC Centerless Grinding Technician

Step into the grind: a day on our floor

When you start your shift at Regal Rexnord Thomson/Nook in Cleveland, you’ll prep your centerless grinder, dial in feeds and speeds, and run parts to exacting prints under ISO 9001 guidelines. You’ll check dimensions with micrometers and calipers, deburr when needed, and hand off high-quality parts to the next station—keeping the work area spotless and safe along the way.

What you’ll do

• Set up centerless grinding equipment for production runs.
• Operate CNC/centerless grinders to ISO 9001 standards and internal quality procedures.
• Inspect parts to blueprint; identify defects, correct issues, and deburr as required.
• Stage and move finished material to the next workstation.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.

What you bring

• Education: One-year certificate from a college or technical school (preferred).
• Experience: 6–12 months of related grinding/machining experience or training.
• Skills: Read and follow written/verbal instructions; strong mechanical aptitude and math.
• Metrology: Comfortable with micrometers, calipers; understands surface footage, feed rates; can calculate feeds and speeds.
• Blueprints: Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.

Shifts, location, and work style

• Hiring for 1st & 2nd shift.
• Work Location: In person (Cleveland, OH 44125).
• Ability to Commute: Cleveland, OH 44125 (Required).
• Ability to Relocate: Cleveland, OH 44125 — Relocate before starting work (Preferred).

Physical demands

You’ll be hands-on—standing, walking, and operating equipment—with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and routine use of precision measuring tools. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, plus the ability to adjust focus.
