Push the limits of what’s possible with us as an experienced member of our Software Engineering team.

As a Software Engineer II at JPMorganChase within Asset and Wealth Management, you will help design, build, and support scalable, resilient systems that enable critical business capabilities. You will partner with product, engineering, and data stakeholders to deliver secure, high-quality solutions, using data-driven insights to continuously improve performance and reliability.

Job responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable, resilient systems using Java and Python to support continual product improvements
  • Deliver software solutions end-to-end, including design, development, testing, deployment, and technical troubleshooting
  • Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate reliably with integrated systems
  • Produce and contribute to architecture and design artifacts while ensuring design constraints are met through implementation
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize large, diverse data sets to develop visualizations and reporting that drive continuous improvement
  • Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to improve coding hygiene, performance, and system architecture
  • Contribute to engineering communities of practice and events exploring new and emerging technologies
  • Strengthen an inclusive team culture grounded in respect, opportunity, and collaboration

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Proficiency coding in Java or Python
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Understanding of agile delivery practices including continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and security
  • Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (for example, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile development)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
  • Modern AI / ML Development techniques
