• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Contract)
• Department: Oncology Pod – Emergency Department
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12-hour shifts per week (Day: 07:00–19:30, Night: 19:00–07:30, or rotating)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Setting: On-site
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,720 - $1,770

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience required
• Oncology nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Ability to float within the department as needed

Emergency Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to oncology and general ED patients of all ages (adolescents, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics)
• Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, and manage central lines
• Monitor telemetry and manage dysrhythmias
• Administer blood products and IV vasopressors
• Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias
• Care for ventilated patients and those requiring CPAP/BiPAP
• Conduct triage and respond to STEMI and stroke protocols
• Document accurately and promptly using EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services)
• Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols
