We’re hiring in Johnstown and New Albany, OH, 43031, for a hands-on machinist who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in producing intricate components that meet client requirements using advanced CNC machinery.
What you'll do- Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to achieve precise dimensions and finishes.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and work orders to define machining approaches.
- Monitor machine performance; make real-time adjustments to parameters and tool wear.
- Execute routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to sustain uptime.
- Partner with teammates to drive process improvements and boost efficiency.
- Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments; record findings.
- Document run data, part counts, and setup details accurately.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or machining degree preferred.
- Proven background as a CNC machinist or similar machining position.
- Comfortable reading technical drawings and interpreting specifications.
- Working knowledge of CNC programming and machine operation.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter who collaborates well in a team setting.
- Effective communicator with a strong safety focus.
